"From the moment I glanced at the J-card of this homemade effort, with the photo of four giant vegetables walking across Abbey Road, I was anxious to give this a listen. A lo-fi recording with hi-fi ideas, these songs seem as comfortable in 1996 as they would have been in 1968. "You Oughtta Know" sounds like a Lennon outtake from The White Album and many of the other tracks bear traces of post-psychedelic Lennonisms. Bowie fans will detect their hero's influences here, too. I hereby dub The Vegetables my personal Find Of The Month."...Roy Abrams
